Branch faced challenges involving customizing the user experience and dynamically updating latest job openings . Our task was to rejuvenate their brand and strengthen their digital footprint ensure seamless integration of live job listings using Greenhouse APIs .

The challenge

A primary challenge was ensuring that the career pages remained dynamically updated with the latest job openings without requiring manual intervention. By leveraging the Greenhouse API, I implemented a system that automatically updates the job listings in real-time, ensuring the career pages always reflect the current opportunities at Branch.

Another challenge involved customizing the user experience for the “Engineering Only Career Page” to cater specifically to technical candidates. Through thoughtful UI/UX design and targeted content structuring, we were able to create a focused and user-friendly interface that effectively attracts and engages engineering talent.

Objective

Our mission was clear: To inject new life into Branch’s brand digital presence.

To develop an “All Department Career Page” that showcases job listings across various departments within Branch.
To create an “Engineering Only Career Page” specifically tailored for engineering opportunities, providing a focused experience for technical candidates.
To ensure seamless integration of live job listings using Greenhouse APIs into Branch.io’s chosen CMS platform, WordPress, enabling real-time updates and management.

The strategy

The project commenced with an in-depth analysis of Branch.io’s requirements and the Greenhouse API documentation. By understanding the structure of the Departments and Jobs APIs, I devised a strategy to efficiently parse JSON data into dynamic web content. The development process involved:

API Integration & Data Parsing

Utilizing the Greenhouse APIs for Departments and Jobs to fetch current job listings and departmental data. Crafting custom scripts to parse the JSON data into a structured format suitable for web presentation.

Web Development

mplementing the parsed data into meticulously designed HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files to create responsive and engaging career pages.

WordPress Integration

Seamlessly integrating the developed pages into WordPress, ensuring compatibility and ease of content management for the Branch.io team.
